Hi, I was browsing the AH archives for reviews, opinions and discussion on the Arturia MatrixBrute, but didn=E2=80=99t find that much information, so = I decided to start this thread. The MatrixBrute seems incredible feature-wise, it seems like there=E2=80=99s almost nothing missing apart fr= om a ring modulator. And the price doesn=E2=80=99t seem that bad for what you get. In fact the MatrixBrute seems almost too good to be true, and it seems there hasn=E2=80=99t been THAT much discussion on it at AH, so I started wondering if it=E2=80=99s really as good as it seems=E2=80=A6 I=E2=80=99d l= ove to hear any comments/opinions/information on the following: -What do you think about the MatrixBrute, is it good, especially the sound? What are its strenghts and weaknesses? -Are there any annoying limitations or problems? I=E2=80=99ve hear about oscillators 1&2 phase-locking when only slightly detuned, but this has possibly been resolved in later units and possibly can be fixed with a mod. And I=E2=80=99m not sure of the severity of this issue anyways. -For me perhaps the most serious question is the reliability of the unit. Are they built well? Is it repairable long-term if something goes wrong? Or is it filled with custom chips which might become unobtanium in the future, a bit like what happened to the Andromeda?
