I have had sleep... so this is more coherent than Fri. postings... Maybe this question is pointless... But I am really curious how SDMI is playing out in the world of IDM'ers ... more to the point ... IDM labels and the companies they are using (sometimes themselves) to press their digital media... Has anyone out there (labels, indie artists) actually considered the implications of SDMI... and if PhaseII is ever actualized ... which way are you going to go when pressing digital media? ie Will you still press 'legacy' (aka insecure) media or will you follow their lead and actually press SDMI compliant crap? This seems pretty lame, since according to the last spec I saw we would need to buy another CD player for PhaseII (when the 'secure' media hits the shelves) ... ie have one CD player for all of your old music, then another one to read the SDMI encoded CD's. just curious... since I have not seen anything about this on the list since it was first drafted... phil...
