apple is nowhere near bankruptcy. they are FLUSH with cashish from selling
those funny colored boxes.
the reason everybody is pulling support for them are many, but it's not for
want of boxes being sold.
i personally think the g3s and g4s were very nice pieces of hardware, but
between software support, upgradability, price, and the absolutely
irritating advertising/marketing they do i am no fan of the company.
they've learned how to sell things and lie to people, but they still don't
know how to rock. and with their current cashflow, i don't think they'll
ever try.
and yes, i'm a wintel kid, but only because it's the best (for me). people
writing free aps, *ahem* user-designated evaluation sotfware, and a far
superior os. i wish there was a viable alternative to mac AND wintel, but
there ain't. beos is a non-issue for now, and so is the amiga. if only
atari had stayed the course. . .
