this is a fun thread. first tape that i got really into was the B-52's the B-52's. I heard that on my cousins walkman on a christmas vacation. i believe it was one of the first generaton Sony Walkman's too. "Planet Claire" it thought was soo cool with it's one note electronic key rhythm. dooo.do. doooooooooo...... i also dug Fred, Cindy & Kate's voices too. as i grew up and was gettin' pretty heavy on the "new wave" sound, the first 12"s i purchased. Howard Jones "things can only get better", Depeche Mode "master & servant" and Madonna's "like a virgin" with perfumed scented sleeve....mmmmmm......i already had my Art Of Noise "who's afraid album" at that time on tape . painful to realize i bought those records at the time right now, but seeing where it has taken me now, i have an apartment almost completely dominated by vinyl now. i can't even remeber the last time i even bought a cd. but like mr. drunkman and others here, i ventured off into a similar of the harder/darker/edgier industrial music, then the begginngs of rave/acid house/techno. the rest is history, this is where we all meet up. (and how could i forget my binge in the gangsta rap scene with the eazy e, nwa, ice t. i think it was unavoidable if you were a white suburbanite living in southern cal. them records were comedy albums at the time. i hope we don't get stuck in a period like parents do saying how the music was soo much better back in the day. "ohhhh, that afx twin...." _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ benny blanco /\ blancodisco: gamefx, inc. /\ /\ http://www.fcl-us.net/~benny/index.html -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
