this is something i've been thinking for some time: I don't understand how
someone can say 'well, they screwed up big time this album, but they learned
from their mistakes and got it right for this one'. as far as i'm concerned,
a great musician/artist doesn't just suddenly forget how to make the stuff
and then remember. it is an ongoing process of mutation (ooh doesn't that
sound scary) as they learn more and more and get tired of old tricks.  but
this is probably just me... when i find a musician whose style i'm into, i
generally end up being into nearly all of his music.
