ooooh, I love questions like this. My top 5 recommendations would be: hab - maPod boards of canada - music has a right to children autechre - amber and/or tri repetae skampler - skam compilation on silent records black dog - spanners This is a good mixture of new and old school idm, and pretty much all of these discs are easy to find in the USA. Of course, I'm omitting a huge array of other artists and genres. Others I would recommend include Aphex Twin, mu-ziq, Plaid, Luke Vibert, Funki Porcini, Amon Tobin, Funkstorung, Jeswa, Atom Heart, tetsu Inoue, and a million others...
