My brother's girl is having a christmas party this friday night in the West Village (near 8th Avenue and Bleeker) and I volunteered to try and find someone who wants to DJ. Stylewise: Art/Media/Silicon Gulch crowd, not ravers, so a mix of IDM, trip hop, 80's dance and funk would go down well. Pay: Negotiable but this is a house party, so carfare + drinks and noshes as a base, the rest you can negotiate with Tessa. You'd need to bring tables & mixer. This is a pretty low key affair so you could put on a CD and mingle with the crowd when you want a break.
