And the Synergy New Year party, which drew a crowd of 25,000 had some local hip-hop outfit standing on the main stage at midnight rapping 'ecstasy, ecstasy, ecstasy' over and over - pretty unenlightening and going nowhere, actually ... I don't know what point I'm making here; but going to craft markets and seeing tie-dye bell bottoms on sale for the pre-teens also falls into this category - what was once the domain of acid trance hippies is now a fashion item for ten year olds.
