then I guess they'll be some people not buying the Mu-Ziq "Internet" EP just
because you can only get it from Musicblvd.
don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

remember, it's the MUSIC, that matters... and if you can save cash to better
your supply... why not?

i was never suggesting to wait until domestics come out for every import
(people take things to such extremes) if you know a domestic is going to be
released in a few weeks, (like "Trash") then why bother with the import if the
music is what you are buying? Musicblvd has $1 shipping no matter what size
order, so if you can find stuff you want, why support another place that has
it for $16.99 plus $4.50 shipping per order?
if you must be the first kid on your block with the new import, fine. it's
your money. if you don't like the domestic packaging, then it's obvious more
than the music matters to you (and you probably don't own any 12"s with just a
die-cut center and are missing out on a lot of great music) if the packaging
is the same and there is not a U.S. label repackaging the original, and it's
just a U.S> distribution deal that drops the price, then what's the problem?
I've seen GAS-CD, LOVE INC.-CD most older ALEC EMPIRE-CD's, SHIZOU-CD,
"Electic Ladyland I-IV"-CD's, VULVA's new CD, PORTER RICKS on Chain Reaction
and the new PORTER RICKS-CD, the other Chain Reactor discs, and more that I
can't recall at the moment... but all of those had the same import packaging
and were on the same labels as the imports, but were $13.99 so why not buy
those if you don't already have them?
the U.S. market has a lot of catching up to do with releasing imports at
domestically distributed prices, but I'm sure some on-line shops that don't
have the buying power as the commercial generic shops keep their prices high
on those titles even though they got them cheaper from Caroline, just because
the buying public doesn't know any better. I've seen DOT-CD's for $20.99
why? why $20.99? did the store only have a small import order, so the
shipping costs had to be split amongst a smaller number of items? that
shouldn't raise the price that much? I've gotten mine for $14.99 and $15.99
the 2x12" of Friend & Dr Kosmos I've seen for $18.99! why? most places have
em for $10.99 (at least where I bought my copy, which was ON-LINE) it's
because we have come to expect to pay high prices because they are labeled as
IMPORTS. it's not always suppost to be that way. if the DOT discs are
domestically priced, and those other releases above I have seen listed for
$13.99, then someone is doing something somewhere to help us... why ignore it?

once again, this has nothing to do with waiting to buy just in case the
domestic is released. this has to do with waiting a few weeks when you KNOW
the domestic is coming out.

i know, I know... there's too much bravado on IDM for this to be understood.
