I was listening to the modern rock station out here in DC/Balt., and as the station identification went to commercial they played some of the middle of "Brace Yourself (remix)," one of the parts with that (James Brown?--I'm stupid) sample. Also I heard "Vaken Bolt" played in the same situation. I guess they (big radio stations) got ahold of the EP (Astralwerks mailed some copies out?) and it makes for good "you're listening to 99.1 HFS" background sounds, I think those songs sound better played in its entirety, but one can only hope...which brings up a (possibly) interesting question--who would be supportive of idm on the radio, and who would oppose it--and why? Which is not to say that it's not purely hypothetical...or isn't it? And did u-ziq use that sample first on "BYJ" or did Vibert on Big Soup? They're both 1997 releases. --Geoff
