I thought I'd break the routine four-hour advance warning rule on this one, as it's going to be the last Toneburst event of the year. Should prove to be an elaborate mindfuck for all who can squeeze into this relatively small (but functional) venue. If you haven't seen I-Sound or Zipper Spy perform yet, you owe it to yourself to be in attendance. toneburst and metropolitan hostilities present: signal to noise a night of sonic extremism saturday december 19th. 8pm-midnite washington st. arts center, somerville all ages. $5 featuring short sets inna soundclash stylee by: chocolate-hazelnut (toneburst djs c & rupture dj i-sound (soundlab nyc / ambush records zipper spy (vinyl communications dj ludikris (metropolitan hostilities hrvatski (reckank records nettle (toneburst dj esp john entox (skreem with environmental surprises by lynn stabile and others.... the washington st. arts center is at 321 washington st. in somerville, just past the cambridge-somerville border and near inman and union squares. this space holds less than 200 people so please come early. by t, take the red line to harvard. then you can either: a) take the #86 bus out of harvard square all the way down kirkland street, which turns into washington street after beacon, and get off at 321 washington; or b) find your way to the beginning of kirkland street (on the other side of harvard yard from harvard square, between the science center and sanders theater) and walk down it for 20 minutes until you hit 321 washington. either way the arts center will be on your left, in the middle of a parking lot, set back behind a bunch of apartments. if you're driving, find your way to central square in cambridge and take prospect street out of the square all the way to hampshire. take a left on hampshire and follow it through the intersection with cambridge street at inman square (at which point it becomes beacon street), then take a right on washington street (at the corner with the wine and cheese shop), and look for 321 washington. the arts center is in the middle of a parking lot, set back behind a bunch of apartments. there should be parking in the parking lot, behind the arts center. toneburst info line: (617) 268-6240 mission control: (617) 747-4488 Soular Music: 401.455.9435 Toneburst web: http://www.toneburst.com See you all there.
