if your friend had a fantastic dyson vacuum, you could borrow it, listen to it for a bit while it vacuums the fook out of your floor and make a decision on purchasing your own... i still maintain that i purchase what i want to after downloading. if i think something is ok but not worthy of buying then i keep it. If i don't like it then i delete it. If some track i haven't bought comes up on random play a year later and i like it, it'll trigger me to go look what this artist is doing now and the cycle starts again. This means an artist repeatedly gets my attention and there is a possibility i will purchase his work the next time round. Sometimes i find a release doesn't do it for me, then a year later it does, so i'll buy it then. i've tried the likes of spotify etc to replace this method, but the playlists contain too much generic stuff i don't like, so these services aren't right for my needs. ???
