Finally Fibla's second album, "LENT", is going to see the light. Available on both formats, vinyl and cd (including a bonus track available on cd only), this is our eight reference on the label and first-time album in spa.RK after our initial series of mini-cds and 12''s. some info? "More than two years have passed since "Landscopes", Fibla's first album on Sub Rosa/Quatermass label in 2000, whilst in 2001/02 Vicent produced The Congosound album with video artist Carles Congost. These were interspersed with a series of guest appearances and collaborations: with Expanding on seven inch, on compilations for Worm Interface, Benbecula, Klangkrieg, Couchblip!, and remixes for Lisa Carbon, Stol, Zooey and Marumari.=20 Now "LENT" finds Fibla in composed and fully assured form, employing trademark electronic elements, yet finding enough distinction to set it above and beyond the vast conveyor belt of the contemporary electronic scene (by the way, "lent" means literally "slow" in catalan, and should not be associated with fasting or any kind of religious observance! :) There's an unhurried, slow motion grace at the heart of this release, and it shows considerable amounts of heart and feeling at every turn. Just stick it on continuous play for a while and the feeling starts to build..." EEDL and ZOOEY eps=20 There're still a few copies available of both 12''s. After playing at Sonar 2003 and Observatori 2002, Eedl are working right now on their first album for spa.RK. Don't miss their first work "parallemped ep" (sp8) on vinyl 12'', including an exclusive remix by LACKLUSTER (Merck, deFocus, U-Cover...) Zooey has been playing at FIB Festival last august. His first work, "The beaver island ep" (sp6) is a lovely collection of tunes, plus a smashing remix of "111.1" by FIBLA (original track featured on "No watches no maps" Fat Cat compilation. b) september events 1.
