Taking you on an extended mindride:

the RICHIE HAWTIN experience
.Windsor, Canada.
-----
Minus is Richie's latest project, inspired by theories of subtraction,
advancement and experimentation. These concepts are also driving forces
in one of his rare and innovative dj explorations. Returning to make it
count in what will be one of only a few 98 U.S. appearances. Capturing
all of our hearts and minds, get ready to let the man and his music take
control.
-

STEVE "SILK" HURLEY
.Chicago.
-----
Original groove master of Chicago house music responsible for classics
like "Jack Your Body". A dj/producer/remixer/songwriter who has worked
with the likes of Prince, New Order, Madonna, Inner City, Janet &
Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul, Inner City and the list goes on. From and
beyond the era of "jack" with a sound and style smooth as "silk" this
rare performance promises to be a legendary feature from a legendary
man.

-

Kanzleramt U.S. Tour :

The final stop of the tour. Heiko, who is resident at the legendary
Omen club, and Johannes are two of the more prolific techno artists to
come out of the Frankfurt area in a long time. And Slip leads the pack
in our neck of the woods. Expect everything from hard, twisted techno
to subtle, deep techouse.

SAVAGE AURAL HOTBED (live)
.Minneapolis.
-----
Feeding our oldest and most primal form of self expression - the dance -
in a most primal way. An experience in tribal industrial performance
art that'll work you into a frenzy. One man's junk is another man's
treasure - one man's pain is another man's pleasure - one man's symphony
is another man's savage aural hotbed!

-

FIERCE
.London.
-----
The No U-Turn posse is known to rip up dancefloors wherever they go with
a sound that is both scarily apocalyptic and funky as sex. As one of
the most consistently exciting stables, the No U-Turn artists
represent! This is the soundtrack of life in the future.

-

LAURENT HO
.Paris.
-----
Uncivilized World, Epiteth, SixSixtySix, Ingler, Industrial Strength
Beneath a beautiful city lies a destructive wall of sound - the sound of
L.Ho. Known around the world for the quality hardcore he produces and
djing ability. A man who loves his machines and the noises they make.

-

NATURAL BORN SUCKERS feat. Daria Black
.Montreal.
-----
Drop Bass Network
First time U.S. performance from a new DBN producer. Described as the
Spiral Tribe sound, it is heavy and psychedelic. Prepare to be drawn
into the speakers by the hypnotic style. But don't feel too secure, it
could eat you alive at any moment.

-

KEVIN YOST
.small-town, PA.
-----
Guidance, i! Records, Nervous, Yellow
His talent as a producer is renowned worldwide, but Kevin is also a
respected up and coming dj. In his first Midwest appearance he is sure
to please with a blend of hypnotic jazz influenced deep house.

-

NICK NICE
.Madison.
-----
Midwest O.G. who has dj'ed from Moscow to Switzerland to a residency at
Queen in Paris. His return to Even Furthur will take you on a trip with
a unique blend of deep house, tribal and techno.

-

PABLO GARGANO
.London.
-----
Eve Records, Metropolitan Music, Rabbit City
Pablo has produced all of the anonymously released Eve records - a label
that has earned the respect of the world dj fraternity. As a dj Pablo
delivers a unique mix of industrial and European trance. First U.S.
appearance.

-

DAN EFEX
.Chicago.
-----
For years a favorite that never disappoints. Well known for his smooth
mixing skills and ability to take you on a journey. Dan is largely
responsible for trance music's favored status in the Midwest.

-

DREW YOUNG (live)
.Milwaukee.
-----
UK44, Forever Forward, Amnesia
Another Midwestern trance aficionado. Drew represents the live
performance side of things that put trance where it is in our area.
Expect his music aggressive yet beautiful.

-

TOP SPEED
.Indianapolis.
-----
This scratch o' matic was recently featured in hip hop's Source
magazine. His cut n' flex battle dj performances have been generating
talk and attention everywhere he goes. Witness.

-

TJ RICHTER
.Outer Space.
-----
This man/dolphin was seen naked under a cookie monster suit at Teenage
Wasteland. Like a hopped-up funnycar on a drag strip TJ's performance
art is quite an ear & eye full. On saturday night he will lead the
ceremony to light the Burning Man setting the night and himself on fire!

THEME CAMP and SOUND SYSTEM VILLAGE:
-----
New to Even Furthur this year is the creation of Theme Camps in the same

area as the DIY Sound System Village. In an effort to create a more
surreal vision of our community, we are calling out for expression to
you who are creative. Pristine river front campsites along the main
road of our campground will be reserved for individuals or groups who
want to create unique themed areas for themselves to live in and others
to visit. These sites will also be home to the do it yourself sound
systems Even Furthur has become known for. Do you have an idea for a
camp or a small sound system and some dj's/performers? Leave a message
on the info line 414-777-3998 and we will call you to discuss it. There

is a limited number of these sites available so call to reserve your
spot early! This event is about our love of freedom and our belief in
the unique power of every individual. Even if you don't want to create
a theme camp we encourage you to let your freak flag fly and sport
costumes, erect architecture, create artwork, invent games, play
drums/other instruments, or contribute performance art. Lets make Even
Furthur all it can be and more...

Vendors will also be housed in the Theme Camp Village. If you are
interested in vending please call 414-777-3998 to register. You must
register in order to vend anything, no exceptions. Sorry, no outside
food/beverage concessions will be allowed.

As always we are looking for past Even Furthur video footage...if you
have any or know someone who does please call 414-777-3998. Your help
is greatly appreciated and you will be rewarded.

FURTHUR GUIDELINES:
-----
Being that this is the fifth Furthur event you should understand these
by now. But in the event that you don't, we ask you follow a few simple

guidelines.
-
Even Furthur takes place on a permitted rural setting for 72 straight
hours from noon Friday May 29th until Monday June 1st. Don't forget
that this year the Monday of the festival is not the Memorial Day
holiday so you will need to take off from work or call in sick!
All official sound stages are weather protected and the main stage is in

a warehouse so the event goes rain or shine! Come prepared to deal with

the possibility of bad weather - you know it's going to rain, it always
does.
-
Our location as always will remain a secret until Thursday May 28th to
not draw any unnecessary attention to our event and to help build the
excitement and anticipation for the weekend itself. On May 28th you can

call any of the three main info lines for directions and information.
The support lines should have directions from each specific area.
Unlike past events you will not have to travel further to get Furthur.
This event is located equidistant from Milwaukee, Chicago, and Madison -

travel time is less than two hours from each city.
-
Basic on site concessions including hot and cold food and beverages will

be available all weekend for reasonable prices. No outside concessions
of this type will be allowed. Bring enough to eat and drink for your
entire stay at Even Furthur. Drinkable running water will be available
on site. Clean bathrooms (please keep them that way!) with flush
toilets will be available.
-
Even Furthur is an alcohol and drug free event! You should know that
this is going to be an intense time without any outside ingestions.
This scene is about music and us together - if you don't believe it just

ask us! We don't want to be babysitters and we certainly are not trying

to stop anyone from having fun. We want an environment that is fun yet
safe for all. Sales of alcohol, controlled substances and nitrous oxide

are illegal, unwise and unwelcome! Period.
-
To avoid potential problems between Furthur participants and people in
the small rural communities that surround the site, there will only be
one in and out privilege per car over the course of the event. Realize
where you are at and be on good behavior to insure successful relations
with the communities who are hosting our stay. Try a smile, a please
and a thank you - kindness never hurt anyone. Show respect for people
and their property. A few bad apples can ruin it for everyone - rotten
fruit sucks. It's up to each of us to present our culture positively.
With good vibes we have a future.
-
Come prepared to camp and cope in an outdoor setting. Things to keep
you happy include a sleeping bag, tent, food, plenty to drink, a
backpack, extra clothes, flashlights, grills, bug spray, sun block,
drums, toys, first aid and love, love, and more love to share with
everyone.
-
Do not bring pets, fireworks, weapons, bad attitudes or firewood (we
will supply main fires).
-
Security/ parking attendants / gate personnel will all be identifiable
by event staff shirts and jackets. These people are there to make the
event run smoothly and more importantly to help you. If you have any
questions or need assistance feel free to ask any one of them.

..............................................................+

Even Furthur would like to thank three very important people who's
visions and efforts were instrumental in bringing us together to
gather...

Tom Crawford
-----
His WMSE college radio show "back in the day" was the one
place to hear the latest and best in electronic music. This show played
a significant role in the creation of Drop Bass Network. The dedication
to the music Tom has demonstrated makes him a true pioneer of the
Milwaukee dance music scene.

Nick Nice
-----
His passion for the music has been educating everyone who
will listen since his very early days at Madison's Cardinal bar to his
recent establishment of Nice Musique. This influence, combined with his
legendary one off events makes Nick a true pioneer of the Wisconsin
dance music scene.

Woody McBride
-----
His contributions to the Minneapolis underground led to
a magical heyday that had tribes traveling back in 94 & 95. Woody was
instrumental in creating the wonderful thing that is Furthur. As an
artist, his musical compositions and Communique family of record labels
has put the Midwest on the electronic music map. Woody is a true
pioneer of the Midwest dance music scene.
-
Respect to all three of these men and to all of you for making our
culture happen - in the past and for the future.Your magic is in your
energy, the magic is in the music. See you on the other side yet
another time...
