I've don't know about these releases, but all his compilation appearances that I've heard are usually rather abstract in nature. His tracks have a gritty, unproduced feel and are better described as elemental rather than "songs." Usually (but not always) beatless, but not ambient (but not always). Its sort of like soundtrack music (akin to early Skinny Puppy, but without so much melody). Sometimes quite abrasive, othertimes, sort of "tinkering." Its not really to my liking, in that, I like his sounds and some of his ideas, but have the nagging thought of "ok, now let's get on with it" when I try to hang in there and listen to a whole "track." Its really a matter of taste... as his music lacks a bit of structure (not necessarily predefined) to which I'm accustomed.
