David: Is the shaft that goes thru the case metal? Looks like it in one =
online picture. If it is, with care and needle nose pliers try to =
gently pull it out. It might not be held by glue but by tension, since =
its curved and shaped.
If you can do that then your options widen up a lot to shop for new =
colour caps keeping the old inserts. For that get a micrometer and start =
measuring the knobs. Go to any knob manufacturerer/mouser/digikey =20
and you can download a similar specs sheet to see what measurements they =
use and then measure your old one in the same places and then shop. If =
it works share it online.

Subject: [AH] Tama Techstar Knobs

I've got a Tama Techstar drum brain that I love, but a lot of the knobs =
have gotten brittle, broken, fallen off, etc. They're a D-shaft slide-on =
knob, but the top of the shaft is flush with the face of the unit. Does =
anyone have a source for recessed shaft knobs? I'd like to just replace =
all of them. Thanks in advance...
