I think half the fun of an overdrive effect is the restricted frequency response - peaky mid band for the most part - following the clipping circuitry. That said, a wet/dry control, or the mixer channel's send/return loop, is a very useful thing to have especially when the program material is bass heavy. Tony www.oakleysound.com
