I'm listening to a nice calm house mix at the moment that is completely
without verbal sexual suggestiveness, but I must say that the calm synth
lines and mellow bass present a magical, underwater feeling that is much like
the tide pool relaxation that one feels with a lover. Carl Lekinbush's stuff
(the more atmospheric selections) have also replicated this feeling, though
the bass is more naked and hard hitting. For me, it'd be the creation of a
substantive mood that pulsates throughout the theta waves of the participants.

Interestingly enough, my girlfriend and I recently had a quite erotic session
to one of the Autechre releases (maybe 7?). Aside from the harsh noise
interludes, the soft melodies filtered through the background warmly, while
the complex rhythms grafted into our minds, supplying us with creative
energy. For anyone who's interested in creating a mood like this that's
constant, I recommend using a minidisc player, for longer mixes and accurate
sound...DAT would probably be fine too....

I suppose that while I prefer calm soundscapes to accompany and enhance the
mood, there could be some deviants out there who dig on some Bloody Fist as
they pound into their inflatable lawn Egret.
