> Wouldn't a modification like your Behringer CC300 mod work in the DC2 too? It would indeed work on the original DC-2, although it should be pointed out to others that the mod simply flattens the frequency response by removing the pre- and de-emphasis EQ stages. This then reduces the chance of bright and complex sounds (which synths are more likely to produce than guitars) of overloading the BBDs. But what's in the DC-2W I'd like to know. I tried to get hold of the service notes for the DM-2W a year ago but they ignored me, so I'll not bother with this one. I'm guessing it is a DC-2 in surface mount with some additional high frequency roll off for the direct signal and low frequency cut for the delayed signal when switched to the SDD-320 mode. Given that some of the de-emphasis is done in the output stage of the original DC-2 it might be that the DC-2W switches those components about in the SDD-320 mode. So I'm not sure the mod will work as easily. Tony www.oakleysound.com
