So I'm helping sell some stuff that used to belong to a friend of mine who passed away earlier this year. One of things is a Moog Taurus - the original one. The problem is, when I normally sell things they are in fully working order, and this isn't. Firstly, the key contacts are shot, I have cleaned them up and they work for about a week and then they go bad again, so clearly the contacts need to be fully replaced. The little door on the front is missing, as is the door surround. The electronics work although it'll need a full calibration and the sliders are somewhat crackly. The board also has had some contact cleaner sprayed over it at some point and I've got rid of a lot of it but not all. It really needs a good bath. Now, this is a big job and although I gave up repair work several years ago, I could fix all of this. However, I don't know whether it's worth me doing it, trying to sell it and then having to bill my pal's family. Or do I sell it as it is? Ultimately, I want them to get the best value. Tony
