I had both of those at the same time as my Yamaha V50...and I was using a Yamaha 4-track cassette as a mixer because I had nothing else. I had so little and yet I still got more actually done anyway. > *Ensoniq* > DP/4 I have two of these now, one in my studio rack at home, and one in a mobile rack that I can take with me for DAW recording on laptop -- excellent effects unit. My list earlier didn't include effects though. > *Mackie* > 32x8 Mixer (sold/traded to get A&H GL2000) Have an A&H GL2200 32-channel now. Built like a tank, no problems ever, and you don't notice what it's doing for your sound until you try to record straight into the interface without it. Makes everything warmer. > TR-606 (lost to a repair job) One of my favorite drum machines, may buy sometime. Right now I just use samples sets of it a lot. > JD-800 (sold it long ago) Adored these in the music stores, mostly because they just looked so awesome, like what I'd always thought a synthesizer should look like (a spaceship, basically). Wasn't as stunned as everyone else seemed to be then that they gave a synth a control panel full of sliders...actually wondered what took them so long with that. I mean really, is there any reason being digital means you can't have a real user interface? > *Waldorf* > MicroWave I I've been curious about these, but I've never seen any demos where they really sound that much like a Wave to me. (I have to admit, that's mostly what I'd want from it, a smaller, less expensive Wave.) Is it possible to make patches on one that sound like that? Probably doesn't matter though as far as me actually getting one. They seem to be even harder to find than actual PPG Waves, which are very expensive, but seem to always be for sale somewhere if you've got that kind of money. --=20 - Brent Busby + =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D + "The introduction of a new kind of music must -- Studio -- + be shunned as imperiling the whole state, for -- Amadeus/ -- + styles of music are never disturbed without -- Keycorner -- + without affecting the most important political -- Recording -- + institutions." --Plato, "Republic" ----------------+ =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D
