(idm) a tight-arsed mailing list?

quite a nice allegory for life in general, don't you think? finding the
beginning of a circle. boy, you'll run for a while. but what else is
there to do, if all you know is the circle? (i guess this is so
theorical & abstract it probably doesn't even mean anything regarding
the physical world.)

what what what? if there's anything i see _not_ happening on this list,
it's what you're depicting exactly. i guess the most obvious example is
lance mcgannon. he has the most information, yet seems to me one of the
kindest persons on this list. i've never seen him brag about his
records. he just does that, provide information. & besides, may i
recall something you wrote earlier in this same message:

> it's not worth it to me to sign off this list right now, I have alot to use
> it for.. it's an information library,

...?

> all I can do is sigh when I think about that, and that's it sigh and

sigh, as you say.

don't mean to insult you or step on your bubble, but i've seen scenes
_far_ worse than this list, so i don't see what your comment is really
for. the internet usually brings the worse in people, so it's likely
you'll see a lot of uncalled pretention, uptightness & what have you in
any given so-called e-community. i usually try to disregard it & focus
on the nice things about said community. obviously certain things can
get tedious or turn into real pains in the ass, but surprisingly enough
this hasn't happened very often on here, considering 1) how many
subscribers are on it & 2) the flaming potential associated with
something so subjective as music. this could potentially be the worse
place on the net, but i tend to like it more than i'm annoyed with it.
but ymmv, as they say. (took me a while to get _that_ acronym, i must say.)

if any of this message offends you or if you feel attacked by it, please
don't. i just think you should revise your judgement of this list. it
is probably as nice as a list of this size can reasonably be.

take care,
