>>speaking of plurals of feminine nouns, what the hell is the
>>plural of "clitoris"? i've been wanting to know that for years.
>>anybody? alex, maybe? is it 'clitorises?' that just sounds
>>wrong. but 'clitori' sounds just plain silly.

>the plural of 'clitoris' doesn't come up much in conversation, unless
>you're shooting the breeze with an amateur gynecologist, a professional
>lesbian, or a male IDM listener. i think 'clitorides' is the proper
form,
>though 'clitoriseseses' -- like 'breastses' or any other pseudoplural
>female naughty bits -- is much more fun to say out loud.

ah! you're like the unofficial Cecial Adams of the idm list.

but i think the word should be "clitora" pronounced "clit-or-uh."
much prettiers than "clitorides" or "clit`oray" or "clitorees."

and it does come up in conversation kind of often. i mean,
just the other day i was telling a story to kid606 and i said,
"dude, now i've seem some clitora in my day, but this one
surely took the cake! so i took out my electric sander..."
