Its quite possible that permission was granted and there may be no legal problems. Here are a few of things I have noticed that would most certainly go against the grain: The Funkenstort 12" by Funkstorung: On the backside, it clearly shows the Apple logo which is a registered trademark by Apple. A track from the Spacepimp 12" on Clear has a sample of the "Axl Foley Theme" from "Beverly Hills Cop" which was wriiten by Jan Hammer. The "Type Zero" 12" on Planet µ: Anime / Robotech / Gundam figure on the cover. perhaps thats why it was limited to 750 copies of the fear that it might make its way to Japan. On Endlessnessism: The track remixed by Funki Porcini... contains that Apple / Macintosh start-up tone. Wagon Christ - Tally Ho! The first track contains piano samples from United Airlines. Some of the above maybe border line. Who really knows??? I can understand, give credit where credit is due... but if you can get away with it. Fine by me. Yeah, I'm bored. -- Jason McCollum xxxxxxx@xxx.xxx
