I spoke with Davealex of Multicast tonite. We agreed that the a lot of the difference between the IDM of "today" and "yesterday" is that a lot of todays stuff is not timeless. Case in point: Autechre's _Incunabula_ or Aphex's first two LPs. I don't think 2-3 years from now I'll be sitting there reminicising about the Demon 2 ep on Musik Aus Strom or some of the like. That's my basic frustration with the majors of the "genre" lately. > > > funkstorung have really had nothing new out aside from additional > productions, which is all their remixes of other people. i happen to LIKE > the collection much more than their self produced stuff, I totally agree, I think the K7 thing is REALLY good. On that note does the CD have MORE trax than the vinyl??? This is usually the case that Ive seen with the Andrea Parker, Dave Clarke, and J. Saul Kane thing If so, what trax are not on the vinyl that appear on the CD????? gilly -- "atom heart will remix the record of the pope."- Atom Heart.
