BUT, everything is now under control as we found a buyer: UT - OUT in swedish. UT consists of four small indie labels: NONS, Dot, Dolores Recordings and Vibrafon Records. The three other labels are indie/pop/rock orientated, but we all know, respect and like eachother's work. One of the reasons, and also one of the Mohammad Ali aspects of this joint venture, are simple: Together we are strong and can use all the collective knowledge, contacts etc. that exists within UT and still maintain and develop our profile, instead of being bought by a Major Company with a lot of directions that will stress on Mr Dollar Specific Sound rather than creativity, Christopher Columbusness and challenge. Not to mention the advantageous position we will have when talking to pressplants and various manufacturers. So, now there will be a short Dot cease fire, when UT's labels are consolidating, streamlining and A&R-bullshiting ;) The next Dot release will be in November: Various - Dot Dancefloor Architecture VOL 198 (DOT1210), a new series of 4-tracked 12" EPs that will be more towards the dance floor.
