_fsck_ (a UNIX command meaning "file system check") is a terrifically disjointed mish-mosh of noise, static and blips. Take a Ryoji Ikeda recording, chop it up into miniscule bits, and rearrange in random order. The sound of computers arguing with each other over bitstreams and bandwidth. I think this is FM's best, most well-executed release. If you have RealAudio, you should be able listen to all 99 tracks on the CD at their website for this album: http://www.farmersmanual.co.at/fsck/listen.html For some reason, though, my installation of RA doesn't appear to be able to retrieve the data. It might be down right now. -- Adam J Weitzman NewsEdge Corporation Is it supposed to http://www.newsedge.com sound like that? http://www.newspage.com
