I agree it was a f*ckin amazing show with no songs you've ever heard! it was like a whole new album, the stage was barely lit at all yet people just stood and stared.no one was dancing at all-it was wierd-I couldn't even tell if the audience enjoyed it until there was mad clapping at the end of the songs......ae "rocked" plain and simple. very minimal show. it was a shame when the house lights came on- while they were still playing..my only complaint is that audiences here suck....no one ever moves it's worse than Toronto. at least bob your heads a little.....great show though. I'm still buzzing from it...... Perfume Tree were pretty good too, I haven't heard them before and can be described as Liz Fraser in an ethereal jump up dNb band..quite good. spaul --Unhinged-- wrote: > Well Montreal and Toronto ,your in for a treat.Just got in from seeing > Ae here at the Palladium.Seeing might be a bit of an exageration,as they > only used 4 candles to illuminate the stage(and one blew out!).But > hearing is what it's all about,eh? > Crystal clear sound, not as much distortion or feedback as i had > presumed. The mixing board seemed to be manned by committee,as there were > 2 fellows doing the bulk of it while 2 others kept reaching over to > tweak the odd knob. Can't tell you song titles as none of the show seemed > to have complete songs that i knew. > The only dissapointment i can come up with,is that it seemed to take > the boys a little to long to come out for the encore and when they were > doing it the club threw on the house lights at 2:00 am,thus kinda > spoiling the end of an otherwise pretty impressive outing. > BTW,DJ Chantal played lots of very danceable stuff, bout all i > recognised was the last tune by Gescom,i believe off the > skampler....just too tired right now to check! > over and out, > william
