here is where i am going to get into trouble im sure :)

im really NOT impressed with the phthalo label.. OR any other cdr label
that charges WAY too much for cdr's.. especially when they come with
little artwork.

i REALLY enjoy dimitri's music -- his label releases (that i have heard)
and his phthalocyanine material. in fact, for a LONG time it seemed to me
that i was alone in liking the pthalocyanine material -- id play it for
folks, and really had a bicth of a time turning them on to the
releases/other material i had at the time.

i really do think the phthalocyanine stuff is amazing -- quite unique,
and quite noisey -- and damn it, i love the noise aspect -- especially of
navy warship.

i am also one to never really expect promos, and do not mind buying the
music i enjoy (though during this tax season it gets hard.. :)
(and, the occurances of me getting promos with my radio show are few and
far between)

that being said -- i think that the concept of charging 12-17$USD for a
cdr thats made in the states is ABSURD. especially when there is no
artwork. yes, its all about the music -- but that to me is just getting
to the level of silliness. and i have found that the cdrs that i have
paid so much for -- well, they never quite hit me the same -- mostly
because i feel ripped off.

so, yeah. i love the music, but fuck paying so much for a cdr.
but hey, if it works, and you can get folks paying 17$ for a cdr that has
no artwork because its limited (and my oh my how idm list folks love that
shit) -- then you may just be doing something right?

who knows, but its not for me.

cheers,

chris.
