I agree with you on this and really like the fact that Warp is around as a label.. they served a major role in the reason this list was created in the first place. > In the case of Red Snapper, that 'Reeled And Skinned' CD is a > compilation of their stuff on Flaw (RIP), which had come out 2 years > previous, mostly. And as far as being bandwagon jumpers... I don't think anyone is accusing them of that (especially in their earlier works), and please don't think that I was in my previous post. If it didn't come across before, I am a huge fan of RedSnapper, and have very little to say about them that isn't gleaming. And yes, Warp can be spotty, but they also put out a good variety of acts and many quality releases.. I'm with you on that too... > Sorry to vent-- but it seems that there is an inordinate amount of > Warp-bashing going on. Why is this? I wasn't really Warp bashing by saying "cash in." What I was referring to was the usage of the misinformed *quote* that related RedSnapper as a live DrumNBass act, which they are not. More recently, they may be incorporating some DrumNBass methods into their music, but by no means are they Live drumnbass... If I'm wrong, please let me know, but I feel like I know their music pretty well. Sorry for the confusion, I was bashing the quote (and the usage of it) in promotion of the band.
