no. it's a fellow named Darryl who had previously remixed Ui's "Match My 
Foot" seven-inch (and several other indie-esque projects since) for release 
on Soul Static Sound, his own label.  

the connections between Tortoise and SSS run MUCH deeper than peripheral 
involvement. Tortoise's (best) single, "Why We Fight"/"Whitewater" was 
released - and re-released - on SSS. SSS are also behind the first Designer 
12" ("Vandal"/"Larson") by Casey Rice, another Tortoise affiliate and remixer 
("Cobwebbed," on Rhythms, Resolutions and Clusters).
