Chris, I'm personally partial to Various Artists' "Decay Product" CD. I find this disc has a perfect tension between structure, texture and decay. About half of the disc is beautiful blurred, "line noise" ambience, but the techno tracks have the driven pulse it sounds like you're looking for. As a second choice, I'd vote for the Monolake "Hongkong" CD. -d.w.
