>From Lance's Inaudible playlist: >. Isan: bloody mary (Tugboat) >. Solvent: lift me up (Suction) >. Bochum Welt: la nuit (Kromode) i recently got isan's "digitalis" lp, which i'm enjoying immensely. i haven't seen this artist talked about much on this list (but then i tend to ignore a lot); it makes sense that lance has played solvent and bochum welt immediately after the isan track, as i would recommend them all in the same breath. isan is very strong melodically and favors simple, well-chosen rhythms instead of the overdriven, overbusy beats that seam to dominate these days. fans of andre estermann, suction, b.w., the more ambient aphex, arovane, etc., should buy "digitalis" on site. also, those who enjoy the melodic comtemplation of cluster/rodelius, eno, etc. will find much to like in isan. massively underrated artist. here's their web address: http://www.mugwood.freeserve.co.uk/isan.htm. anybody know anything more about them? other good releases? i've heard something called "beautytronic" is meant to be their best... sc onnnow: autechre : garbage (warp)
