I've been meaning to post about the two new Emanate full-length cds by if.then.else and Lilienthall. Both are shining examples of the beautiful mellow melodic electronica sound that made the Emanated comp my favorite release of 98. I dont think Black Dog would be a good comparison to the sound of Realizations (the name of the if.then.else album) but the bola one would fit. Other comparisons that I would draw include boards of canada, sun electric and the recent thug release. Also highly recommended is the new Lilienthal cd called Castor & Pollux. It features a similar melodic electronica sound but it infuses some more complex rhythmic structures and time signitures. Comparisons to this sound would be David Moufang, Mouse on Mars, and maybe System Error. I highly recommend you get both the above cds! Also around the corner for emanate will be a limited 7" by Sybarite. More comments on that one soon... -->-Lance--- xxxxxxx@xxxx.xxx xxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
