On Friday, November 21, 1997, the Semiconscious Liberation
Army in association with Chicago's Pure Pleasure Experience

redefine the language of underground music.

Direct from London, England,
Owner and Founder of Blueprint and Surface Records UK,
In his first ever exclusive North American appearance,

James is easily the most exciting techno dj to come out of the UK in ages.
His ferocious, hard-hitting style has rocked dancefloors
>From the Orbit in England, to the Tresor in Berlin, to the Liquid
Room in Tokyo. James has also played along side such techno
luminaries as Jeff Mills and the Advent. His labels, Blueprint and
Surface, have been releasing some of the finest records of the past
year, featuring artists like Surgeon, Oliver Ho, and Outline. Their
tracks have been playlisted by top jocks like Dave Clarke,
Claude Young, and Damon Wild, and championed by techno purists
everywhere. Come prepared for James' first ever North American
appearance!

Also Featuring New School Fusion by DJ:

T E R R Y M U L L A N

Surely a man who needs no introduction, Terry Mullan is one of
Chicago's most respected house djs. His extremely successful career
includes his own label Catalyst Records and dj gigs around the world.
The juice resident has recently released Mixed not Stirred, Vol. 2 on
Airbag Records, and recently completed work on the forthcoming
Guidance mixed compilation.

And support from local favorites:

A long time resident at Chicago's Material night at Shelter, Diz is
also an established producer in his own right. Check out his new
Bioflavinoids EP on Chicago's very own Guidance imprint. Diz has

*Couple of quick side notes...The ATP line seems to be currently down.
We're not sure when Roy plans to reinstate his box, but just keep in touch
to be sure. We here at Semiconscious have been working with Steve from
ATP, while Roy is mostly busy with his supposed rescheduling of Deeday!
Also, for information about a Net Meet for SYNTAX 2, contact Clint at the
above homepage address or email him (xxxx@xxx.xxx). Finally, we regret
that Dan Bell (aka DBX) is not able to play on the 21st. He had to accept
a previous booking in Germany on that particular date, but he promises to
come out next year for another SYNTAX event. Keep in touch! Many more
surprises to come in 98...Much Respect. Peace.
