Regardless, it's safe to say spelunk across two releases has done very well at both providing fresh slices of techno twinged with electro (at times) and more importantly, defining a unique sound which is spelunk. The latest 12" is a various artists four tracker served up in a kitschy bit of packaging. Various Artists - The Anti Static EP - Spelunk/US Although the Ninja's have been know to pack twelves into such "anti-static" bags, spelunk sparks the idea up a bit further by titling the ep "anti static ep" (spr002) and including a hilarious promo-info sheet w/photo of a gal getting the "hairlift" courtesy of a static generator. The release/artist info is encoded w/PGP and a public key code block provided (ha!). I'll have to reserve judgement on the individual tracks until I give them all proper attention, but here's the info in the interim... The Anti Static EP Subcretaceous by Him + Her Bugs Are in Every Room by Solvent Comeout by BolzBolz + Rootpowder Beryllium by cron http://www.spelunk.com/trax.htm will sneak you into the spelunk site, direct to the real audio of these tracks. Cheque it! Teep np: teex ps: keg party @my house tonight, get in touch for directions etc.
