It quite makes up for the awful Bowling Green "Dejavuism" track, and a nice touch on the track after it ("Fryedism") to even mention Roupe's previous mix. It's difficult to not nod your head to Roupe's track ... assuming that head nodding isn't dancing, or intelligent. It's a pity (but a very small, insignificant one) the Roupe albums I've tracked down don't sound more like "Somnambulism". On a less derivative tack, the new Bug "Low Rider" is fantastic. Both sides show S. Betke's contributions, and the texture of the tracks is far more lively than the _Tapping the Conversation_ disc. "Low Rider" stands out as downright jaunty at 45, and a bit more sludgy and foggy at 33. After a little too much faceless post-rock, Fat Cat seems to be back on course with this one.
