(idm) hrvatski, carpet bomb

hurray! i got the new hrvatski. my god, this _is_ way oddball. i was
expecting something either more in line with the digital exploration
people do nowadays (although track 2 is a bit of that), or drawing to
the more 'pathos-friendly' drum n bass of say, downpour or third eye
foundation, or even drill n bass, but it's none of that. so what is
it? :) guess i'm going to have to listen to it again with different
expectations so i can appreciate it better, but so far i'm puzzled &
curious. if anything, hats off to hrvatski for making such singular
music.

one question though: which song is the pink floyd cover?

also, i got the carpet bomb compilation 'highways over gardens' from
1998. very very fine. some of the most sophisticated drum n bass songs
(& i do mean songs, not tracks) i've heard. this is what roni size &
goldie should have been doing to warrant the amount of hype they've
gathered with the ridiculously simplistic excuses for music they've been
releasing. that's if there was any justice in this world.
