Quoting boomboom boy (xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx): | | Also, for a second time, does ANYONE know about this BIOSPHERE | soundtrack- Insomnia? It's not on Apollo btw. Anyone have this disc? Yes I have - I'd say it's alot darker than other Biosphere releases. The first track - Proem - is just great. If you like other Bio releases, I'd recommend this one too. | What is the film like? It's an norwegian movie set around the home-city of Geir Jenssen (Tromsų). The movie is a bit strange, mainly it's about a murder, but at the same time it's also about the foreign detective who's been summoned to investigate this case. He's going through a hard time with himself, and not being used to the 24-hour sun in Tromsų makes him stay awake (hence the title), and makes him behave very queer. In fact, the whole "feel" of the movie is that of being uncertain of what is real and not. I'm not going to try to explain any further, but if you like the works of David Lynch and alike, you MIGHT find this one interesting. For myself, not being a big fan of norwegian movies, it wasn't ALL that bad, but I'm unsure whether I'd recommend it. The soundtrack creates a very functionally eerie and unsettling atmosphere, very ambient indeed so perhaps you should try it out with the images too. -- christian s. larsen aka beacon/sublevel3 --------- visit our ambient den http://www.sublevel3.org ----
