1. Wayne Nixon does exist. I don't know if he's on the ambient list but he's *certainly* on IDM, xxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx I did an auction sale with him last week. He called. He paid. He exists. His email? Post to IDM, look around. 2. For the person interested in booking an "ambient" show, it would help to post *where* you are located and/or where you want to hold the event. This relates to travel/budget/money, etc. 3. For those that posted on Tarkovsky, I'm glad to see the mention after I've seen numerous posts go unanswered over the years ( mine included ). I have 2 books on him ( one *by* him ) and I believe there is a third. I'm not at home; I can't cite the names. Also, an ironic cross of threads...for the person who posted on Artemyev (sp?) his music has been contributed to more than one Tarkovsky film. Also, there *are* soundtracks out there. I finally made a contact to buy them at....ahem $45.00 each. There are four. I passed on *that* offer. For anyone who's seen a Tarkovsky film and has enjoyed it, make it a point to see all of them/rent all of them. I have seen every one except his very first, which *never* shows publically ( I waited probably 7-8 years in San Francisco and have waited 2 years in NYC ). This film is "The Violin and the Steamroller". All of the others, I believe are on video except that one.... Perhaps list member Thermal knows? Newly released to video, an "updated" and "remastered" 'Solaris' *and* 'Andrei Rublyev'. If there is a film = of ambient sensibilities, it's him. Yes, film geeks, there are many others. It's just he's.....the slowest. You have not experienced a Tarkovsky film until you've fallen completely asleep, only to force yourself to see it again and get through it.
