Just finalizing program for 6 week exhibition we are collaborating on with Glasgow based sculptor, titled "2 Minutes To Midnight" & hosted at Changing Room gallery in Stirling (Scotland) the opening night is 8th October with Aeron and Sandra from Lucky Kitchen performing along with Diskono Pre-Tension Crew (+ free bar!), event nights are free (as is entry to the exhibition) but ticketed..if anyone is within locale and wants to come along to the opening night please FWD your address and will mail tickets heres the skinny TEXT TO ACCOMPANY "2 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT" EXHIBITION RE : DISKONO SOUND INSTILLATION 8.10.99 - 20.11.99 "We are making suggestion(s) hypnotised." Sound Instillation Theme : The sound of people looking at art, relationship between measurements of space and events of it's past. Sound will not be controlled by any 'artist', but rather by the 'audience' of gallery-goers, determined according to physical presence / actions / reactions. Allied sound artists will perform on a 'drop-in' basis, reacting and improvising off the sound already present, 'jamming' with the gallery. Over the course of the exhibition we will be measuring the gallery-goers' reactions to the sounds in various ways -- questionnaires, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), blood tests, sweat glands and other psychophysiological measurements are all valid. Diskono pre-tension crew will be omnipresent with multiple input sources for utilization (cdj, turntables, mini-disc, DAT, hard disk) Allied performers scheduled at this point (additional performers to be confirmed) Opening Night : 8th October : Aeron Bergman / Sandra Salinas (Lucky Kitchen) 16th October : Antenna Farm (Fat Cat) ?? October - Otomo Yoshihide 19th November - Felix Kubin (Gagarin / A-Musik) tbc Closing Night : 20th November : Janek Shaefer (Fat Cat etc..) (mailed sound piece) tbc If anyone feels like performing on a drop in basis any time over the 6 weeks, please get in touch, exhibition & performances will be documented (MPEG Video, JPG, .RA, .MP3 etc..) on a special web site on a day to day basis Overview : The language impressionable, will not accept suggestion, its mantle piece look and normal moral code both require to be subjected and tolerated, in this case, the 'information' is 20 cm tall, standing for really little more than a gentle push towards desire. Attempting to use a faster speed, slow materials and processes applied over 6 week timescale include recordings of gallery space worldwide (incl.
