Some comments i'd like to share with the folks at Verity Studios and IDM. Hailing from Methuen, Massachusetts, Ethan Eves and Andrew Barker are better known as the gritty electronic drum'n bass oufit, ojamoj. Just received some of their latest output, and i should admit that they tread a fine line between some of Squarepusher's older beats, and Photek's recent stuff. On "Live Set v4.2," and "The Red Record Machine," ojamoj create a polished style of funk meets detroit-techno with a focus on unusually textured smart-beats. Assuming that their philosophy of spreading an abstract yet engaging techno soundscape is in full swing, ojamoj have created their own platform, and stand on it quite well. For more on ojamoj, tune into their website at www.ojamoj.com.
