DJ T-1-11 is a Portland-local ex-Anal Solvent member (an apocalyptic rap band who also did weird loungey stuff, of which solielmoon's Charlie Powne was/is a member). He has a great sense of humor and has played some great lounge mix-sets here in Portland, and I once booked he and Anal Solvent for one of my Frequency series shows, and he had the audience rolling on the floor when he showed this sound-synced slide show his grandmother had made in the early 70's. Egad! It involved her taking toads and freezing them so that their metabolism slowed waaayyy down so that she could position them in doll-clothes on dollhouse-furniture in little scenes where they were the Toad family in this quaint story. Totally looney! Apparently her husband was an early national-geographic photographer, so she had access to all this photo/slide equipment.... funniest thing I'd seen in years....
