We are planning a really cool synthesizer event for Saturday, September 8 in San Antonio. Unlike the previous events at our shop, this one will be at a live performance venue (no age restrictions), and we will indeed be having live performances - culminating with a show by Gary Numan! We're bringing out tons of stuff, and we've invited Switched On to join us, so there should be a really impressive collection of both vintage and modern instruments available for hands-on quality time, or for purchasing. Or bring your own synths, and make some trades! Contact me off list if you would like a space to exhibit your goodies. There will be two performance spaces: a 250-capacity room for Synthomania performances, and the 1200-capacity large room for Gary Numan. The synth exhibits will be in the courtyard area between the two. While our event is free, the Numan show will require tickets. It was a heartbreak that this is the same weekend as Knobcon, which we were looking forward to. But we couldn't pass up the opportunity to coordinate this event with the Gary Numan date!
