What's up everybody in the electronic music community. I'm new
to the mailing list and just wanted to say hello. I've been listening to
idm style music ever since i saw the video for Aphex's "On" late one
night on 120 minutes, back in 93. I've been hooked ever since. By the
way, did anyone get fooled into downloading the Aphex Twin vs. All saints
track off of aphexweb on April Fools day? I must admit i fell into his
trap, bastard.
The only new cd I've gotten that I haven't seen any discussion on
is the new Jon B double cd. It is amazing. I really think he's taken
dance drum n' bass to the next level. It looks kind of cheesy from the
cover (the title of the album has the words "drum n bass" in it), but
believe me it is excellent. Also, I don't remember smi)e communications
ever putting out anything that I've liked before.
One last thing, where is the best place to order Replex/Warp cds
off of the internet? I've tried a couple of different sites and none
have actually stood out as being completely comprehensive. Hope to
contribute more in the future.
