just a really quick review of blech 2 with cylob and autechre.. ok...chantel dj'd first, with a better set than the one at blech 2,not exactly mixing records, but the selection seemed ok.. cylob rocked...very cool electro dancey stuff as youre probably ll aware of...nice melodys,a bit of humour, just one bloke and his mining lamp...erally enjoyed it.. the some dj came on and played mid 80 dance pap, like colonel abrahams ,tina more, even playing the roland rat song (rat rapping) which uk people may remember... he played some cool tunes, like lfo, mantronix, and ended with some jungle...his mixing was pretty rubbish unless it had an identicle tempo.. and now for autechre...well,sorry but i got very bored..lots of noises echoing around to begin with (about 10 minutes) and a beat fading in very slowly...when it did get going(the sub bass was very good) but the beats we just a little disjointed to get into for a club, dancing type of event..some people seemed to enjoy it,but tracks seemed to carry on for too long, and picking up the minute tweaks which they were doing meant that tracks didnt immediately hit you... once again, the support act is more enjoyable than the main act, boards of canada rocked and sefeel didnt, and cylob rocked and autechre bored me...and the djs werent too good... but soon is u-ziq and jega....so i expect jega to rock, and u-zip to play random disjointed jungle noise... dont get me wrong,i like autechre(expecially the 1st album) and i like u-zip..tango etc etc...but i do expect jega are gonna be more dance/clubg friendly with the type of electro beats that ive heard them do.. that it...all this is just my opinion, others should post there thought for u all to get an overall review.. wayne
