All star line-up for monster Mean Fiddler New Years party

Underworld - Temptation indeed

New Order and Underworld will be headlining the Mean Fiddler's huge
Temptation New Years Eve dance party at Alexandra Palace. Alexandra
Palace has now become the venue of choice for dance promoters on December
31, with the Mean Fiddler following in the footsteps of Universe and
Essential, who have both held events there in the past.

Joining the headliners will be Laurent Garnier and Monkey Mafia, who will
also be playing live in addition to DJs the Chemical Brothers, Sasha, Luke
Slater, Richard Fearless, Dave Ralph, the Bronx Dogs and the Scratch
Perverts.

There will also be a live audio-visual link-up from the Essential Mix New
Years Eve bash at the Blackpool Winter Garden featuring Pete Tong and Judge
Jules.

The event will take place across three rooms between 9pm and 10am. The Mean
Fiddler will also be putting on another Temptation night on December 29 at
the Manchester Evening News Arena, Manchester. This will also feature New
Order, Underworld and Laurent Garnier playing live with Justin Robertson,
Luke Slater and Andrew Weatherall DJing. [At Nynex arena, apparently.]

NEW YEAR: NEW ORDER

AFTER several successful comeback gigs, indie-dance icons New Order are
headlining two shows called Temptation in December.

At Manchester's 8,000 capacity Evening News Arena on December 29,
they'll be joined by live acts Laurent Garnier and the Lionrock Sound
System, and DJs Justin Robertson, Luke Slater, Andrew Weatherall and
James Holroyd.

At London's 12,500-capacity Alexandra Palace on New Years Eve, their
guests are Underworld and Audioweb, plus Sasha, Judge Jules and Pete Tong
in the Radio One Essential Mix room, and Monkey Mafia, The Chemical
Brothers (DJing), Richard Fearless, Bronx Dogs and the Scratch Perverts
in the Heavenly Jukebox room.

Both events run from 9pm to 6am, with tickets priced at 30 quid for the
Manchester show and 39 quid for the London show. Contact

(Sorry for the non-IDM content. But hey, Slater and Garnier and Weatherall
count, don't they? :-P A rave in Manchester with Slater, Garnier,
Robertson and Weatherall, with New Order playing a few Joy Division tunes.
I think I could hang with that, yeah ... )
