Yes the strings on mine are lower in volume; but not significantly. Maybe 75=
% of brass. Consider the area under the curve of the waveform. A 90% rectang=
ular wave has more energy than PWM  between 10 and 50% for example. Chorusin=
g on the strings probably causes this.
