Hi,
since we're on the IDM people who are cool, here's my list:
Autechre: friendly but slightly reserved
Aphex: Very friendly, bought me and my friend several drinks, gave me rephlex stuff
Underground Resistance: Perhaps surprisingly, very talkative and pleasant. James Pennington (Suburban Knight) invited me to come for a holiday in Detroit and sleep on his floor after a 10 minute conversation! (he also said- "we love Glasgow, its very close to Detroit in terms of urban poverty and the peoples
attitude")
Mika Vanio: a very nice man indeed.
Ken Ishii: very bewildered by the amount of praise people were heaping on him, definitely the shy type.
