re: the new Tricky 12: The only thing(s) I can add is that the 1,000 # is true. It's an unofficial release, meaning had he put out 25,000 of these, there would be bigger legal troubles ahead as Polygram did *not* OK this release. unconfirmed rumor from 2 sources: I have also heard that the track lyrically slams Polygram and/or one of the top employees there. Polygram said "no" to the track being on the new album. Tricky said "no" to "no" and now the 12". > Saw this Tricky white-label at the local shop today labeled as "Divine Comedy" $14!?! ...the wank behind the counter said something about Tricky doing this because he was pissed @ Polygram for making a racist comment or something??? limited to 1000??? what is this? > and > He's been smoking a lot of pot. I guess that has be considered... His label Island is owned by Polygram which is owned by Phillips which have money in the weaponindustry. Therefore this: During last years US tour he was staggering around on stage screaming "I don't sell records, I sell guns, I'm making money for you so you can kill a jew" - right before he released the bootleg 12" "Divine Comedy". He claims that his recordcompany were in alliance with Satan and that the (now resignated) PolyGram boss Eric Kronfeld was a nazi. The track is not on the new album btw. > and > Reportedly a self-released 12"... Same track on both sides. It's a very loose, live-sounding, somewhat rambling track which lasts roughly 15 mins. > Peter np: Suetsu and Underwood - find the hits ( and then use them ) ******************************************************** xxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx, <also: xxxxx@xxxxxxxx.xxx> Peter Becker - Distribution Manager/ DJ Pool / Mail Order/ Demo Tape Filter Asphodel - PO Box 51, Chelsea Station, NY NY 10113 Ph: (212) 604-9362, FAX: (212)604-0783 http://www.asphodel.com *********************************************************
